About the event
Miss Smith and Newport Performing Arts Festival (NPAF) present this tribute to our friend and founder, Linda Knighten. Linda died in her home on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 surrounded by family. She will be forever in our hearts. On Saturday, May 3 at 2pm, join us for a musical Celebration of Life hosted by Charlotte Van Zant-King and Stephanie Lynne Smith. This grand event is streaming live on YouTube and will feature performances and tributes by member of the Miss Smith and NPAF communities. In her honor, the Linda Knighten Scholarship Fund was created to assist attendees of NPAF with registration costs. To keep Linda's vision alive, please consider donating to the general fund or scholarship fund for Newport Performing Arts Festival.
A reception will follow with open mic. All are welcome to participate. Please bring music. Stephanie will be there to play piano if you need a pianist.
